Grace Van Tilborg

My role as Applications Technologist at Hawkins Watts is a Food Tech’s dream! I started here in late 2021 as my second full-time role out university and have since become one of those people who genuinely love their job.

With such a broad range of applications, each project is a new challenge that requires both technical and logical thinking. It’s exciting coming to work, helping customers to find creative solutions while constantly developing my own knowledge in a supportive environment, surrounded by like-minded people.

Outside of work I am an active committee member on the NZIFST Auckland branch, building my network within the New Zealand food industry and helping to organise and run events.

Growing up on a farm, I have always loved spending time in the outdoors; tramping, camping, skiing and diving, constantly searching for the next adventure. My friends and I are renowned for not letting a tramping pack limit us on our boujee meals and drinks that we enjoy along the way.
