I’ve been in the food industry for over 27 years, starting my career in New Zealand and later moving to Melbourne where I’ve now lived for over 20 years. I particularly enjoy the customer-facing parts of my role, the team interaction and the fact that there’s always something new to learn. Whether it’s new trends or ingredients emerging or new people to meet, the industry is constantly changing. Recently in my role I’ve begun to focus more on the proactive health space. This is a new challenge for me and is also an area I’m really passionate about personally.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, trying out new restaurants and cafes and keeping fit. Doing a fun run with my girlfriends is my idea of a good weekend! I also have two teenage kids, two dogs and a cat which definitely helps keep me active and busy.
