Documentation > Product Information Forms
(PIF's)
Hawkins
Watts New Zealand has adopted the Australian Food and Grocery
Council “Product
Information Form” (otherwise known as “PIF”)
to summarise the necessary product documentation for each
ingredient.
The Product Information Form (PIF) is an industry-agreed general questionnaire
intended to be used by companies to provide a wide variety of information about
ingredients, their composition, the presence of allergens and other general information.
The PIF is intended to permit all ingredient suppliers and food manufacturers
to use this single document to satisfy their information needs to meet the legal
obligations under Food Standards and Consumer protection requirements.
With the ongoing release of new versions of the PIF (Version 5.0,
pictured, was released in October 2011) we are continually updating our documentation
using
the most
current version available. However some PIF’s may only be available in
the version 2 (2008) format.
The Australian Food and Grocery Council intends
to make all Product Information forms available in an online format, which will
assist with further upgrades of the template.

guide, please click on the link to the Australian
Food and Grocery Council (AFGC) website:
