Artificial
colours supplied by Hawkins Watts New Zealand are
high quality, homogeneous food colours that meet international
standards
of
purity. (FDA
certification
is available where appropriate).
Colours are available in both water soluble
(dye) and insoluble (lake) forms. Dyes are available in granular
as well as powder form. Lakes are available in powder form, or
as a dispersion. Custom blending and processing allows for the
individual
requirements
of specific shades and applications to be met.
Hawkins Watts has chosen to follow Schedule 4 of
the Australia
New
Zealand Food Standards Code,
as a guide to what constitutes an Artificial colour.
