FMC BioPolymer is
the largest and most experienced global producer of carrageenan,
alginate and microcrystalline cellulose.
FMC BioPolymer’s Research and Development is based at their superb facility in
New Jersey.
In New Zealand, Hawkins Watts New Zealand works closely with FMC BioPolymer’s
technical sales team in Sydney and Shanghai, but sources products
from any of FMC BioPolymer’s production facilities in the USA, Philippines
and Scotland.
For
more than 60 years, FMC BioPolymer has established a tradition for providing
consistent, high quality carrageenan,
supported by exceptional technical expertise and service. FMC BioPolymer builds
quality and performance into its carrageenan products at three
levels—seaweed sourcing, extract manufacturing, and understanding
and tailoring the functional properties of each product.
FMC BioPolymer entered the alginate market
when it purchased Pronova in 1998. It became the largest global
manufacturer of alginate in 2008 following acquisition of the
ISP alginate business.
Perhaps the most unique product FMC BioPolymer offer
is their colloidal
MCC. This works well as a stabiliser and fat replacer, especially
in beverage and sauce applications.
FMC BioPolymer has world class manufacturing
facilities and technical resources that are second to none. Hawkins Watts New Zealand
personnel conduct regular, high level technical discussions with
FMC BioPolymer and
are kept
informed of the latest stabiliser
technology and ingredient applications. |
