und Karamel GmbH
(FKO) is a traditional family- owned company founded in 1904
in Offenbach, Germany. Felix Koch Offenbach specialises in
the production and sale of caramel colours and caramelised
sugars.
Hawkins Watts New Zealand has been working in
a supply partnership with Felix Koch Offenbach since 2002 and we
have found their products
to be extremely
simple and elegant ‘solutions’ for sometimes difficult
formulation ‘problems’.
Caramel is a food additive produced by roasting sugars in the presence
of catalysts specifically intended for purposes of colouring.
Felix Koch Offenbach manufactures both liquid and
spray dried
Caramels.
Felix Koch Offenbach also manufactures a
range of Karasirups (caramelised
sugar syrups) in both dry and liquid forms with
different degrees of caramelisation. Caramelised Sugar is produced
by the controlled heating of sucrose, and regarded as a versatile
food
ingredient for rounding off the taste of food.
Felix Koch Offenbach has a unique processing
system that allows them to obtain consistent results. Anyone who
has ever tried to
make caramel will know how difficult it is to make a consistent
caramel batch after batch, but FKO have achieved it! |
