Introducing
Jost Chemical:
Jost Chemical
specialises in the manufacture of very
high purity ingredients such as ascorbates,
citrates, fumarates, gluconates and lactates.
Such ingredients are commonly used in nutritional
and pharmaceutical applications.
Jost Chemical Co is a FDA registered manufacturer that is audited to
FDA bulk pharmaceutical GMP’s and meets all USP /EP/ FCC speicifications,
as well as offering kosher and halal certification for select products.
Jost can tailor manufacture ingredients to meet specific purity requirements.
Hawkins Watts is currently developing some new nutritional concepts based
on Jost ingredients, including the use of Jost Magnesium Citrate to prevent
cramping during intensive sports activities.

The Technical Team
Ruth and Maureen are
part of our very competent technical team.
They look after all Hawkins Watts New Zealand’s
Quality Assurance programmes including
FSANZ and HACCP. They fulfill customer
requests for any regulatory work and product
life extensions.
They also do test kitchen project work and provide support to the sales
team. Maureen has a lovely 20 month old daughter and enjoys off road
running and triathalons in her spare time. Ruth annually travels overseas
to see family in England and U.S.A, and also enjoys the outdoors, particularly
tramping. |

Interactive
Berry Presentation
Hawkins Watts
New Zealand would like to extend their
thanks to those who attended our Interactive
Berry Presentation and hope you all found
it informative.
Those who attended the presentation got to taste a wide selection of
Berry flavours and make comparisons between different sugars and acids
and their impact on flavour delivery.
Upcoming Events
 Introduction
to Food Hydrocolloids - The second
in the series of Hawkins Watts New Zealand
presentations will be a fun, hands on half
day session showing Thickeners, Stabilisers
and their main properties. This will be
