Watts get Active:
Seven of the Hawkins Watts
team dodged the weather at the recent
Auckland Marathon. We congratulate
Maureen who completed her first ever
marathon in just over 4 hours, Paul
completed his second marathon, and
the rest of us were happy to complete
the quarter marathon event. The rain
held off just until everyone had
finished and we all went home for
a well deserved rest.
New
Product Launches: Ice Cream
We regularly receive
updates from our suppliers
around the world on new product
launches. As we get new material
we will update you with what
is available. This month
we have several new ice cream
products.
From the new season holiday edition of premium Ruggles brand
ice creams by Smith's; Hot Chocolate (chocolate
ice cream with marshmallow and choc chunks), Sugar Cookie (vanilla
ice cream with sugar cookie pieces and candy sprinkles),
to LaLoo’s Goats milk ice cream which comes
in some interesting flavour variants such as; Deep Chocolate, Vanilla
Snowflake, Black Mission Fig, Pumpkin
Spice, Strawberry Darling (with balsamic
vinegar), Molasses Tipsycake and Lemon
Chiffon.

Murray
 Sandra
has been with Hawkins Watts
as a Business Development
Manager for 5 years now.
She has a strong background in hydrocolloids and applications such
as frozen desserts. Sandra manages our Palsgaard business (stabilizers
and emulsifers), as well as ADM Cocoa, Felix Koch Offenbach caramelized
sugars and most recently has taken on the management of our pectin
business (Herbstreith & Fox from Germany).
Sandra is married to Chris Newey (also a food technologist) who
now runs his own web design business, FoodWorks On-Line. They have
two sons ages 6 and 9.
Sandra keeps fit through regular ‘Masters’ squad swimming
sessions and ocean swim events. She also loves to cook and is always
eager to try new ingredients that she’s read about, hence
swimming is a necessity.
Holiday Season Hours & Donations
Our office will be closing at 4.30pm Friday 22nd December
2006 through to Wednesday 27th December 2006.
We will close again midday on Friday December 29th and
reopen for the New Year Wednesday 3rd January 2007.
This year we will again make donations in lieu of Christmas presents.
We will give significant donations to two essential community services – the NZ
Cancer Society and all regional Helicopter Rescue
Trusts. |
