Hawkins Watts is pleased to welcome 2 new recruits:
Janet
Donovan joined Hawkins Watts Ltd in March from National Starch,
having previously worked in food packaging. Janet holds a B.Tech (Food
Technology) degree from Massey University and has vast experience in
starch & hydrocolloid applications. Janet is responsible for the management
of the Symrise flavour range, as well as CNI (Gum Acacia) and ADM Xanthan.
Veronika
Rajosova was
appointed to
manage special
projects for
Hawkins Watts
Ltd in 2010.
She has a Masters
in Economics
from the Czech
Republic and
is currently
completing her
PhD in Management
and Economics,
focused on Corporate
Social Responsibility.
Prior to joining
Hawkins Watts,
Veronika has
worked on IT
projects and
system implementations.
She has also
lectured on Holistic
Management at
Tomas Bata University,
Zlin.
We are very pleased to have both Janet and Veronika on board.

Natural
Sweetener Solutions
Hawkins Watts Ltd has a range of natural sweetener options.
We represent the Daepyung Co Ltd Stevia range,
in both New Zealand and Australia. Having screened many different stevia
and Rebaudioside A options, we have found Daepyung’s products offer
a clean taste profile and a less bitter and liquorice-like aftertaste.
However, replacing sugar with stevia has its challenges, given the
very different sweetness profile, and loss of ‘body’ when removing
sugar.
Symrise’s SymSweet and Bitter
Masker Technologies, help to boost upfront sweetness
and mask the lingering, bitter aftertaste, often associated
with stevia.

Loss
of body and mouthfeel resulting from
sugar reduction may be replaced by use
of specific hydrocolloids, which we are
happy to advise on.
New Ingredient
Range - Yoghurt, Cream Cheese,
Sour Cream Powders
 We
are pleased to announce that we can
now offer Yoghurt, Cream Cheese and
Sour Cream powders. These products
are all proudly made in New Zealand
by Tatua Co-operative Dairy Company.
Suitable for use in a wide range of applications, including: powdered
beverages, dry-mix desserts, dips, icings, compounds and smoothies.
